Anghami music streaming now accepts Bitcoin

Anghami ('My Melodies' in Arabic) is the region's answer to Spotify, offering Arabic and global music fans access to the region's musical talent at a fraction of the cost of US-based music streaming services. The site's Beirut-based founders had to effectively create a market for online music in an environment where music piracy is rife and access to the internet is either expensive or patchy, or both. So far, the streaming service has thrived, even signing an exclusivity agreement with Rotana, the largest music label in the MENA region. The latest innovation is to accept Bitcoin, making it the first music streaming service in the world to accept the online currency.
